What’s the Deal with BLUE LIGHT AND OUR EYES?

Blue  Light and Aging

Not only are  eyestrain and vision problems common side effects of over-exposure to blue light, but studies now suggest that an accumulation over time can cause the skin around the eyes to age prematurely.

This is due to the anatomy of the skin around the eye. It is much thinner and less protected than the skin on the rest of the face, making it very fragile and more vulnerable thus aging the skin at a faster pace.  As the collagen and elastin fibers start to deteriorate from the constant movements and stress, they start to slacken and the skin begins to sag. The first signs of stress and lack of sleep around the eyes are dark circles and wrinkles. Both these conditions are related to over exposure to blue light as they are caused by over-stimulation by staring at a screen especially  late at night

What to do

At Defy Nature, applying a medical grade eye crème morning & night is recommended to help with fine lines and wrinkles around the delicate eye area.  New Lumiere Firm eye  crème from Neocutis is formulated with  a combination of anti-aging action combined with growth factors  and proprietary peptides all in a single treatment. Another long term solution Defy Nature offers is the

RF (radio-frequency) EMatrix treatment to maintain eye youth increasing firmness and elasticity.

Organize your time to have screen time and screen-off time. Taking your eyes off the screen every 20 minutes can  break the stress cycle on your eyes.
